Coming straight from the Tate Modern in London, and intended to travel later in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, the exhibition "Joan Miró: The scale of evasion" shows the political commitment of the artist throughout his life.

The Miró's Catalan and maintained ties with their land that are unquestionable, and as shown by the works can be seen in the exhibition, ranging from landscapes Montroig, such as the house (1921-1922) that belonged to Ernest Hemingway, a friend of Miro, the Catalan master sequence Cape farmer (1924-1925), to the sculptural series of Their Majesties (1974), performed using tools from the countryside.
