Folk nights at the Plaza del Rey |
Every Friday is the day of the traditional and popular dance. Come to dance! The Association Danses a la Plaça del Rei returns to launch the series 'Dance on Friday' in this area of Ciutat Vella neighbourhood. To begin the weekend dancing, you have an appointment every Friday night with performances that are waiting to enjoy the passion for traditional dance outdoor.
At 9.30 p.m. a workshop of dances is organized for children and at 10 p.m. the concerts begin. The flute, violin, accordion, guitar, percussion and voice accompany a 'jig', a polka, a xampany, a waltz, foxtrot or a Bulgarian dance. Come to move with the tradition!
