The apartment is in a typical building of the old city more than a hundred years old, completely redecorated and furnished, in a pedestrian street, it opens onto a charming square. The atmosphere and bustle of the traditional shops and antique stores, as well as the historical and beautiful corners of the Gothic Quarter, make it an attractive place to stay.

Large apartment of 70m2, comprises of two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. One of the single beds is a fold-up bed.  The kitchen and living room are in a large open plan style and the living room has a balcony that looks out onto a little street. The sofa in the living room can be unfolded to accommodate two more people. Bathroom and shower are separate from the toilet and the apartment has a curious old fashioned wash-hand basin. There are also two portable heaters for winter and a fan for summer.

This apartment makes a pleasant stay for groups of friends (average age for group bookings must be over 35yrs or a family travelling together) who want to be in the heart of things but it has to be noted that it´s not the quietist of apartments and is not recommended for light sleepers.

Notes:
- The owner will only accept groups of four or more if it is a family.
- There is an extra fee of 50€ for final cleaning
- Check-in between 21pm to 23pm have extra charge of 30€.

Surroundings
The Gothic quarter (Barri Gòtic), is one of the best preserved medieval sets of Europe, placed in the historic centre of the city, between the Ramblas and Vía Laietana street. The beginning of Barcelona is among these ancient streets that still keep the aroma of older times. In fact, there are still remains of what once was the city wall and the Roman town (in the Museum of History of Barcelona). The cathedral, its cloister, the Plaza del Rey, the Plaça de Sant Iu, and the Plaça de Sant Just squares are places that breathe history. The quarter is formed by tiny stoned pedestrian alleys and small terraces, traditional stores, and night spots (around the Plaça Real square). Also part of the neighbourhood is the famous and crowded Rambla, a walk that is still the most popular one in the city.
